Whitsunday Coast Airport at Proserpine services Airlie Beach and the surrounding Whitsunday area. The airport is 33km or around 30 min buy taxi or shuttle service to Airlie Beach. Whitsunday Camper Hire is located approximately 13km from Airlie Beach.
Airlie Beach is the hub for accomodation and boat trips to the Barrier Reef and surrounding islands. One of the main accommodation venues is the Airlie Beach Hotel with its three restaurants and off street parking.
Adjacent to Airlie Beach is a busy marina which the island boats utilize, whilst there is another marina under construction on the Shute Harbour side of Airlie Beach containing residential and tourist units which will contribute to the accommodation capacity of the coast.
Some of the island traffic demand is carried by the Shute Harbour Ferry Terminal which is a further 10km east of Airlie Beach.
The dormitory suburbs of Airlie Beach are Cannonvale on the approach and Jubilee Pocket on the other side of Airlie en route to Shute Harbour. |

Horseshoe Bay

Beautiful Cape Hillsborough National Park is located 1 1/2 hours south of Airlie Beach. Situated in the national park is a beachfront camping park with a swimming pool. The park has diverse natural bush scenery. In the National Park you will find lookouts, bushwalking tracks and beach walks. |
